First event of the year I'll be attending is Chibicon. For this event, I will (FINALLY!!!) prepare my alter-ego fictional character, Okita Souji, in his Hakuouki Bakumatsu Musouroku version - the richest and most complex design there is! I'm going to wear him for the first day.
For the second day of Chibicon, I'll be trying my hand at something completely new - armor crafting. If one could call that armor. To add to my StandAlone Complex Motoko, I decided to make an android version of her, her underskin circuits, wirings etc. There's a special figure for this design. I'm really looking forward to it.
I talked my partner Hisayume into cosplaying a Chinese yaoi manhwa couple from Hua Hua You Long with me, and I get to be the seme! Hehe. Anyways, this beauty, Xuan Yuan Jing has many rich traditional Chinese outfits and I'm going to die just picking a version to make!
Believe it for not, for one of the days of Japanizam, I'll be wearing Ichigo Momomiya cafe maid outfit! This is going to be a chain of some of my favorite characters..!
I don't know if you can make out the fifth character from the photo, if you can - bravo! If you can't, just wait for it and be surprised.

Please, you have to tell me what the fifth character is, I'm losing my mind here :)
At first I thought it was one of the shinigamis from Death Note, but after a quick look I figured I was wrong. I've tried everything since then! From cropping the picture and then reverse image searching it to outright writing something like "feathered monster anime" in google.
What kills me is that it looks soooo familiar and I'm almost positive it's from something I've watched.
@Boamund
Ah, yes, the Major is one of those few female characters who I find interesting enough to cosplay. (: As for Okita, I won't be doing a performance with him, but what I'd like to do is bring to life the drama of this character. He is based upon real person, Okita Souji, a swordsman of the Shinsengumi. I'll be holding a panel about the Shinsengumi at this con.
@Lumpenstinzkin
Chibicon is a Japanese pop culture convention, and I always cosplay on such occasions. Since it lasts for two days, I'll be wearing two costumes, Okita and Motoko. Motoko is going to be one hell of a pain to make... and yes, it will involve even LEDs. There is much circuitry on the costume itself, but not all of it is glowing. I will find a way to subtly add some electric highlights.. (:
Chibicon? I guess some cosplay gathering. So how many costumes prepared beside that awesome Motoko. Those circuits must be made from chinese LEDs right?
I can only see my undisputed love, major Kusanagi. When I proposed to my ex. that I would love to see her tattoo rib-cage implant ports, she laughed. I know she was not meant for me then.
if you trying to lead Bakumatsu on stage, do it with Cherry Blossom Waltz moves. :P
