So, a piece of personal ramble... Thanks to a certain someone, a month or so ago I got dragged into the Dark Souls franchise. In case you wanna know how, it was a sad story of me dying about fifty times in the first stage of the Undead Burg... and quitting the game for good. Yet, devil himself pushed me into googling what the hell are Lord souls, where does the Undead curse come from, etc... I've found a gaping hole of unfinished theories and lore piles, which, probably my ocd could not have coped with. I ended up being determined to finish the goddamn game, and along the way, I did hours of research, wrote an extensive timeline covering pre-game events as accurately as possible, writing a fanfic, and, again, got emotionally attached to numerous fictional characters. (I've dealt with the Four Kings just this morning). I haven't been so moved by a game since Dragon Age. (Dragon Age is my favorite game - it's that bad. Oh wait it's worse.)
I'm not exactly a hardcore gamer, so I'm partly resigned, partly scared shitless, partly confused that I'm still able to pull it through. So far. The game is so bloody difficult and eerie that most of my gaming hours get by with a lot of screaming at random bosses, with different cases only being awwwwwwing at the Moonlight Butterfly and crying at Sif.
And my jaw dropping at the Ash lake.




Before you start asking yourself what the hell is this dank gaming confession doing in a blog of a cosplayer, let me just excuse myself with the info that I'll be cosplaying from Dark Souls this autumn. I'd like to keep my choice of character secret until early summer, when I will start working on the costume. I'll be cosplaying with that evil, evil person who dragged me into the fandom. We seek to complete the costumes before September, and to wear them on Beokon 2016.

Speaking of Beokon, I'll also be cosplaying Padme Amidala of Star Wars and Trinity of Matrix.
Three days - three girls!! And I just made a spoiler... Ah well. Not like there are five female characters in Dark Souls or something.

@Orbiter Yay, Trinity!! I got her costume almost done - and I should've cosplayed her way earlier!! Primarily cause my hair was shorter then, haha :D But don't worry, I'll try hard to do her justice, she's one of those rare movie girls I love out there :)

Trinity? Trinity! :D For a western copy of Motoko from the original Ghost in the Shell film, she is not at all bad ;) Okay, so I love her to bits, and I'm overjoyed to learn that you'll cosplay her! :D So there was a point to me reading this gamer thingy! :v No, all I have to say on any computer game is said far better by Mamoru Oshii's film Avalon. But Trinity! Wonder if you'll find just the right glasses, and the mobile... :D

HAHAHAHA! Dark Souls! The bane of all who dare brave it's depth, be they hardcore gamer, filthy casual or a random cosplayer girl who didn't know what hit her :D :D :D

@Marek But of course, Origins and no other. I also haven't played Inquisition, and I love DA:2's story and characters, but as a round up game, Origins i best hands down. Plus Awakening, which is a great add-on. I have about 15 full playthroughs in Origins from far and wide :D

Hehe, I get your frustration with Dark Souls. Haven't played the games myself but I've heard some real horror stories from some friends ;) Which Dragon Age is your favorite game? Please say Origins :) I didn't play the last one but comparing DA: Origins and DA2, the first one is better by a mile

@Laranes Quelana? Never occurred to me as a choice, really. Her outfit is kinda raggy, so I wouldn't call it challenging enough to make. It would be fun to see all of the sisters together in cosplay, but then, make someone cosplay Quelaag and the Fair Lady :D As for Dusk, she's really a great character, but I wouldn't be able to pull it off from the inside, a damsel in distress is not exactly my type of chara... though her dress is beautiful indeed!! I was halfaway from deciding to cosplay Gwyndolin, but then i realised that I'd probably be just standing like a statue with those tentacles haha :D You will discover my choice, very soon!! ;)

DarkS on cosplay? go for it :D Which one? Can i whisper one. Your constitution is perhaps ideal for Quelana of Izalith from Blighttown swamp or have I seen her in Darkroot Basin..oh yea, Dusk of Oolacile is also tempting to do. ;)
